What Olive Young is
Olive Young is South Korea's largest health and beauty retail chain. It isn't a single brand but a multi-brand retailer: the company's first store opened in 1999 in Seoul's Sinsa-dong, and today the chain is part of CJ Group and runs more than 1,300 stores nationwide.
For Korean cosmetics, Olive Young is the main shop window. It carries both established names and young indie brands, which often reach Olive Young before they reach shelves abroad. The chain also has its own lines — BIOHEAL BOH, WAKEMAKE, colorgram and ROUND A'ROUND among them.
The reference point for shoppers is the Olive Young Awards. Winners are chosen from a year's worth of actual purchase data, which is why Koreans read the list as a ranking of what people genuinely buy rather than as advertising.

Delivery times are much the same — around two weeks. But Global ships free over US$60, whereas through Kshop the service fee and weight-based shipping are added to the Korean price, so a small order of items Global already stocks is sometimes cheaper bought there.
Kshop pays off on larger orders, where a 30–60% price gap outweighs the shipping, on purchases during Korean sales, and on products Global doesn't carry.
